The Attorney General's Office Names Riza Chalid As A Money Laundering Suspect

The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has again named Muhammad Riza Chalid (MRC) as a suspect. This time, in the case of money laundering (TPPU) with the origin of the alleged corruption.

Riza Chalid was initially named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of crude oil management and refinery products at PT Pertamina Persero Sub Holding-KKKS for the period 2018-2023.

"Sudah (ditetapkan tersangka TPPU)," ujar Kapuspenkun Kejagung, Anang Supriatna kepada VOI, Kamis, 21 Agustus.

The determination of the suspect against Riza Chalid in the TPPU case was not recent. Anang said it had been done since last month.

However, it was not detailed about the exact time of determination. It was only emphasized that Riza Chalid, who is also a fugitive, has a suspect in a case of alleged corruption and money laundering offenses.

"Since July 2025 (the determination of the money laundering offense suspect) has been determined," said Anang.

In an effort to take action against TPPU, investigators have confiscated a vehicle suspected of belonging to a suspect in the alleged corruption case of crude oil Muhammad Riza Chalid (MRC).

Nine cars have been confiscated, namely Toyota Alphard, Mini Cooper, and three Mercedes Benz sedans.

Then, one unit of BMW car, one unit of Toyota Rush, one unit of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, and one unit of Mitsubishi Pajero Sport 2.4 Dakar.
