Head of the Banda Aceh Immigration Office, Gindo Ginting, said the five Malaysian citizens had passed the stay permit or overstay after their on-arrival (VOA) visa expired since July 31, 2025.

"The deportation of the five Malaysian citizens through Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport, Banda Aceh, on Wednesday (20/8) afternoon, uses commercial aircraft flights," Gindo said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, August 21.
