2 Lost Anglers In The Waters Of Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang Found Dead

The joint search and rescue team (SAR) evacuated the bodies of two missing anglers while fishing at the entrance to the waters of Tanjung Emas Port, Semarang, Central Java.

Head of the Operations Section of the Semarang Search and Rescue Office, Mulwahyono, said the two victims found were respectively Pujo Margono and Kiswanto.

"The search was carried out around the Tanjung Emas Port pool, then it spread to the west and east sides," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 20.

One body, he continued, was found in the waters of Demak by fishermen who were at sea.

Another body, he said, was found about 500 meters east of the point where the victim was missing.

With the discovery of the two victims, according to him, there is still one victim on behalf of Sumono who has not been found.

Previously, five anglers were reported missing after drowning due to bad weather while fishing around the entrance to the waters of Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang on Tuesday (19/8/2025).

The five people are part of 12 anglers who went fishing by renting a boat to the location of the marine accident.

Two of the five anglers who drowned were found dead and evacuated to land.

The identities of the two anglers are Febriyanto (35), a resident of East Semarang, and Bagus Wicaksono (33), a resident of Sayung, Demak Regency.
