Falling From The Ceiling, The Thief Panic Then Kills The Woman Who Owns The House In Babakan Ciparay

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Police (Polrestabes) arrested a perpetrator of theft accompanied by violence that killed a woman in Babakan Ciparay, Bandung City, on Friday (8/8).

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Budi Sartono said the theft was carried out by the perpetrator GLH by entering the victim's house named DS through the roof of the house by entering through the ceiling of the house.

"Then it turned out that the ceiling broke so that the suspect fell to the victim, because at that time the victim was sleeping. The victim then screamed and fell beside the mattress," Budi said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, August 15.

Budi said the perpetrator, who was in a state of panic, then kicked the victim's body.

The perpetrator then ran towards the kitchen to take a knife and returned to the room to approach the victim and then took his life.

The victim died instantly on the spot after receiving 13 stab wounds from the perpetrator who was also his neighbor.

"The perpetrator took a knife that was above the refrigerator and returned to the room. Then the perpetrator stabbed the victim into the neck 13 times," he said.

Budi revealed that after confirming that the victim was helpless, the perpetrator took a number of valuables such as motorbikes, cell phones, and Rp900 thousand in cash.

The police who received the report then traced the whereabouts of the perpetrator and arrested him in Garut Regency.

"The team made arrests in the Garut area and then conducted a sweep of evidence and all evidence, including the evidence taken which could be secured by investigators

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 365 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code concerning violent theft that resulted in death, with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
