Scout 64th Anniversary, Minister Of Culture Fadli Zon Calls Scouts A Form Of Honest And Tough Cadres Facing The Digital Age

JAKARTA - Minister of Culture Fadli Zon emphasized that the Scout Movement had given birth to quality, character, honesty, and responsibility cadres. He made this statement while attending the 64th Scout Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony and the Opening of the National Level Special Needs Scout Camp at Buperta Cibubur, Thursday, August 14.

"The leader is extraordinary. This organization forms Indonesian children to be individuals with character, honesty, and responsibility," said Menbud Fadli, who has also been active in Scouts.

This year, Scouts are carrying the theme of Collaboration to Build National Resilience, affirming its strategic role in strengthening unity and becoming an agent of positive change for more than six decades. The presence of participants with special needs at national camps is proof of commitment to inclusiveness.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno reminded the new challenges of the younger generation in the era of digital technology and artificial intelligence. "Use technology for good, advance human values, and remain within the framework of Pancasila," he said.

Chairman of Kwarnas Budi Waseso reported that this activity was attended by 29 regional reporters with 14,422 participants. He said that technological disruption has the potential to erode mutual cooperation, but believes Scouts are the fort of the nation's character.

Menbud Fadli Zon added, Scouts deserve to return to being an obligatory extracurricular at school. "Pramuka teaches life skills, teamwork, and mutual cooperation," he concluded.
