KPK Finds IDR 2 Billion In OTT Directors Of Inhutani V In Jakarta

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) found billions of rupiah in a hand arrest operation (OTT) which helped secure the directors of the Forest Industry (Inhutani) V on Wednesday, August 13. This silent operation is known to be carried out in Jakarta.

"It's true (there was Rp2 billion in money found, ed)," said Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Fitroh Rohcahyanto to reporters in his statement, Thursday, August 14.

Based on the information gathered, the money was found in foreign currency denominations and rupiah.

Furthermore, Fitroh said that this money was allegedly related to bribery of permit processing. However, he has not detailed in full.

"(OTT) carried out related, red) bribery in the management of permits for the use of forest areas," he said.

As for this silent operation, the KPK has arrested nine people, including the Inhutani V directors. They have undergone intensive examination at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

The KPK will later announce the suspects through a press conference. They will also announce the complete construction of the case.
