Prabowo Utus Sri Mulyani Between Invitations To The Indonesian Independence Day To Boediono

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto sent Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati to deliver an invitation to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence to the Vice President for the 2009 period 2014, Boediono, and his wife, Herawati Boediono.

Sri Mulyani said the assignment was delivered through the Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi.

"I was assigned by President Prabowo through the Minister of State Secretary to submit invitations to Mr. Boediono and Mrs. Herawati Boediono to attend the Ceremony Commemorating the Seconds of the Proclamation on August 17, 2025 at the Merdeka Palace," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 13.

In addition to the invitation to attend the Proclamation Ceremony at the Merdeka Palace, Sri said, the invitation also included an invitation to attend the Red and White Flag Lowering Ceremony on August 17, 2025.

In her statement, Sri shared her experience in keeping in touch and interacting directly with Boediono and his wife.

"This afternoon I kept in touch, chatted, and exchanged news with the Vice President for the 2009 period", Mr. Boediono and Mrs. Herawati Boediono at his residence, "wrote Sri Mulyani.

In addition to conveying the invitation, the meeting was also used to talk about family, exchange ideas, and accept Boediono's views and advice regarding economic and financial conditions.

"It's nice to have a wise perspective from a senior mentor," he said.

In the era of the administration of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), Sri Mulyani and Boediono became two important figures in Indonesia's economic management.

As Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, the two often work together to oversee stable economic growth.

Boediono was then inaugurated as Governor of Bank Indonesia in July 2008, and Sri Mulyani took over her duties as Acting Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs.
