Searching The Room At The Ministry Of Health, KPK Confiscates Documents Regarding Allegations Of Bribery At The East Kolaka Hospital

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscated a number of documents related to the alleged bribery for the construction of the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) of East Kolaka Regency. This finding was obtained after investigators searched the office of the Ministry of Health's Advanced Health Director General today.

"KPK has secured a number of documents," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday night, August 12.

"It is suspected that it has something to do with the corruption case of accepting bribes related to the Quick Win program in the Health Sector in the form of the Construction of a Class D Pratama Regional Hospital into Class C through special and unphysical allocation funds at the Ministry of Health for the 2025 Fiscal Year in East Kolaka Regency," he continued.

The Acting Deputy for Enforcement, Asep Guntur Rahayu, said that the search at the Ministry of Health was aimed at finding parties suspected of taking bribes. He agreed that forced efforts were made in the room of the Director General of Advanced Health and Sunarto's room, who served as Secretary General of Health at the Ministry of Health.

"We certainly seek and collect information whether it is only limited or only to the person or person we arrested yesterday or we arrested yesterday or there was also money flowing to other people at the Ministry of Health," said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

Previously reported, the KPK named the East Kolaka Regent, Abdul Azis, as a suspect in the alleged bribery of the construction of a regional public hospital (RSUD) along with four other people. This determination is a follow-up to the hand arrest operation (OTT) on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

Abdul Azis allegedly asked for a project fee of 8 percent or Rp9 billion from the construction of the East Kolaka Hospital, which amounted to Rp126.3 billion.

The other four suspects named were PIC of the Ministry of Health for the Development of the Andi Lukman Hakim Hospital, Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the East Kolaka Regional Hospital Development Project Ageng Dermanto, representatives of PT Pilar Pintar Putra (PCP) Deddy Karnady, and KSO of PT PCP Arif Rahman.

Deddy Karnady and Arif Rahman as bribe givers are suspected of violating Article 5 Paragraph (1) Letter a or b or Article 13 of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Abdul Azis, Ageng Dermanto, and Andi Lukman as bribe recipients were suspected of violating Article 12 Letter a or b or Article 11 and Article 12 B of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.
