SD Book Fund Allegedly Corruption, East Lombok Kejari Examines Dozens Of School Principals

EAST LOMBOK - The East Lombok District Attorney (Kejari) is investigating allegations of corruption in book procurement at the East Lombok Education and Culture Office (Dikbud), West Nusa Tenggara.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the East Lombok Kejari, Ugik Ramantyo, revealed that the case was still at the investigation stage.

"It's still an investigation," said Ugik via WhatsApp short message, quoted from Antara, Monday, August 11.

He emphasized that he could not provide further information regarding the development of the case, including the question of summoning a number of parties suspected of being involved.

In a summons to the Head of the East Lombok Dikbud Service Number: B-2997/N.2.12./Fd.1/08/2025 dated August 8, 2025, the prosecutor's office scheduled a request for information on 21 school head work groups (KKKS) from each sub-district in East Lombok Regency.

The examination is carried out in a marathon from Monday, August 11 to Thursday, August 14. For the first day, five KKKS leaders are scheduled to attend.

The letter also stated that the summons was related to the investigation into alleged corruption in the procurement of educational books in the elementary school education unit in East Lombok, which was sourced from the State Budget for the 2021 to 2025 fiscal year.

This investigation was carried out based on the Investigation Order of the Head of the East Lombok Kejari Number: PRINT-03/N.2.12/Fd.1/08/2025 dated August 7, 2025.
