JAKARTA - The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Ankara said that no Indonesian citizens (WNI) were affected by the earthquake in Turkey on Sunday.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 rocked Balikesir Province, Turkey on Sunday, August 10 evening local time.

The ministry also said that the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara and the Indonesian Consulate General in Istanbul had communicated with the Indonesian people who were members of the Indonesian Citizen Protection Task Force.
"Until now there is no information on the victims of Indonesian citizens due to the earthquake," said the ministry.
He added that the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara and the Indonesian Consulate General in Istanbul will continue to monitor the impact of the earthquake that occurred. Separately, Interior Minister Ali Yeriyaka said one person was killed, 29 people were injured and 16 buildings collapsed as a result of Sunday's quake, quoted by Reuters.
The earthquake, which according to Turkish AFAD disaster management authorities occurred at around 19:53 local time, was felt in several provinces, including the country's largest city, Istanbul.
AFAD said the quake occurred at a depth of 11 km (6.8 miles), while the German Geoscience Center (GFZ) recorded a magnitude of 6.19 and a depth of 10 km.
