Metro Jaya Police Chief Karyoto was promoted to Kabaharkam/DOK IST

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo transferred dozens of his ranks. One of them is Inspector General Karyoto who was appointed as Head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam).

The appointment is contained in a secret telegram (STR) issued dated August 5, 2025.

"Kabaharkam Polri ( served) Inspector General Karyoto," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Shandi Nugroho, Tuesday, August 5.

With this appointment, Karyoto received an promotion to become a Commissioner General (Komjen) or a three-star.

In addition, Karyoto will also leave his position as Kapolda Metro Jaya and replace Komjen Fadil Imran as Kabaharkam.

Regarding the mutation process, Shandi said it was commonplace in the organization. Because, it aims to refresh and develop the police career.

"Deputy mutation is a natural process in the organization as a form of refreshment, career development, and fulfillment of organizational needs," said Shandi.

It is known, Karyoto is a graduate of the 1990 Police Academy. He has experience in the field of detective.
