Governor Of Bali: Immigration Patrol Task Force Presses Naughty Foreigners

Bali Governor Wayan Koster assessed that the presence of the Immigration Patrol Task Force (Satgas) could suppress the actions of rogue foreign nationals (WNA) while they were on the Island of the Gods.

"So that foreigners in Bali are orderly, because there are many delinquency," said Koster on the sidelines of attending the inauguration of the Immigration Patrol Task Force at Benoa Port, Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday, August 5.

He appreciated the efforts made by the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections, including the Directorate General of Immigration and its derivatives in Bali.

Koster hopes that collaboration can be strengthened in suppressing immigration violations, legal rules and cultural violations that are likely to be carried out by foreigners in Bali.

"We appreciate the steps taken by the Minister of Immigration and his staff," he said.

Previously, Koster in May 2023 published guidelines for foreign tourists so that they would not violate the rule of law and culture in Bali.

Guidelines include the prohibition (don't) and obligations (do's) listed in the Circular Letter of the Governor of Bali Number 4 of 2023 concerning New Order for Foreign Tourists While in Bali.

Meanwhile, in Bali, there are three Immigration offices, namely Immigration Ngurah Rai which is one of the concentration points for foreign tourists, with working areas including Kuta, North Kuta and South Kuta entering Badung Regency.

In addition, Denpasar Immigration covers the working area including Denpasar City, Badung Regency, namely the northern part of Badung in Abiansemal, Mengwi and Petang Districts, then Gianyar Regency, Klungkung Regency, Bangli Regency and Tabanan Regency.

Finally, the Singaraja Immigration office which includes the working areas of Buleleng, Jembrana and Karangasem Regencies.

Meanwhile, during January to July 24, 2025, 148 foreigners were deported by the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, with the most cases related to overstay, reaching 66 people.

Immigration formed a Patrol Task Force targeting foreigners suspected of violating immigration rules at a number of tourist attractions in Bali on duty from August 1-31, 2025 and potentially extended.

The Immigration Officer collaborated with other parties including the TNI, Polri, Satpol PP to traditional security officers or Pecalang which were confirmed directly by the Minister of Immigration and Correction Agus Andrianto.
