SAMARINDA - The Samarinda City SAR Team, East Kalimantan, together with a number of related elements managed to find two victims drowned in a dead condition in the Mahakam River, in Tenggarong Seberang District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency.

In the search, Yarhan was first found by the team at 06.25 WITA, about 350 meters from the scene. Meanwhile, the second victim, Mentari, was found at 06.38 WITA, about 1.5 kilometers from the starting point of the boat capsized.
They have been evacuated to the funeral home for further processing, so that with the two victims found, the SAR operation was declared complete and closed at 07.40 WITA earlier, then all elements involved returned to their respective posts to continue preparedness.

The two departed from their residence in RT 11, Embalut Village, Tenggarong Seberang, at around 09.00 WITA, but until the afternoon they did not return. Then the family and residents searched and found the boat they were riding in overturned.
Mardi also said that his party received a report of this incident from Babinsa, Embalut Village, on Monday (4/8) morning. Upon receiving the report, the Samarinda SAR Team left for the scene, searching from yesterday to Tuesday morning.
