JAKARTA - The former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, will undergo a series of DNA tests related to the handling of cases of alleged defamation handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. In addition, there are two other people who will also undergo DNA sampling.

"The sampling was carried out on 3 people, Ridwan Kamil, LM and CA," said Ridwan Kamil's attorney, Muslim Jaya Butarbutar to VOI, Monday, August 4.

The two people are Lisa Mariana and her child. DNA sampling, said Muslim, will be carried out at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

In the process, the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) is also said to be involved to assist all parties involved in the case.

"The taking of a sample of blood is for DNA testing as a follow-up to Pak Ridwan Kamil's request in June 2025 for the law enforcement process to end the existing conflict," he said.

Whatever the results of the DNA test, the Muslim said his client would accept. Because, the main goal is to end the feud between Ridwan Kamil and Lisa Mariana.

"We don't think about the DNA test results. Whatever the DNA test results, Mr. Ridwan Kamil accepts the results with full responsibility and maturity," said Muslim.

As previously reported, Ridwan Kamil is scheduled to undergo a series of DNA tests at the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit, on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

It is planned that the sampling in the context of DNA tests will be carried out at 10.00 WIB. Ridwan Kamil is said to be fulfilling it.

It is known, Ridwan Kamil officially reported Lisa Mariana to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police on April 11, 2025. The report is registered with the number LP/B/174/IV/2025/SPKT/Bareskrim Polri.

In the report, the reported party is suspected of violating Article 51 in conjunction with Article 35, Article 48 in conjunction with Article 32, Article 45 in conjunction with Article 27a of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE).
