JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti said the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia is a momentum to strengthen the cooperation of all elements of the nation in building inclusive education.
"When we are about to celebrate Indonesia's 80th Anniversary, we strive so that with togetherness, with cooperation, we can do better to advance Indonesia and provide quality education for all," said Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, August 3.
According to him, togetherness and cooperation are the main keys in achieving and carrying out various things.
"Restrictions are not an obstacle for us to achieve progress and togetherness is the key for us to be able to achieve and carry out various things," said Mu'ti.
On the same occasion, he again emphasized the government's commitment to providing inclusive education to ensure that all children of the nation have the opportunity to receive education without discrimination.
"We are trying to see how Indonesian children, regardless of their economic state, regardless of their physical state, wherever they are, all have the opportunity to get an inclusive education, education without discrimination," he said.
In order to welcome the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) through the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Special Education, and Special Service Education held a Star Harmonious Festival.
