Mendikdasmen Mu'ti: Anniversary RI Jadi Momentum Perkuat Pendidikan Inclusive

JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti said the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia is a momentum to strengthen the cooperation of all elements of the nation in building inclusive education.

"When we are about to celebrate Indonesia's 80th Anniversary, we strive so that with togetherness, with cooperation, we can do better to advance Indonesia and provide quality education for all," said Minister of Education and Culture Abdul Mu'ti as reported by ANTARA, Sunday, August 3.

According to him, togetherness and cooperation are the main keys in achieving and carrying out various things.

"Restrictions are not an obstacle for us to achieve progress and togetherness is the key for us to be able to achieve and carry out various things," said Mu'ti.

On the same occasion, he again emphasized the government's commitment to providing inclusive education to ensure that all children of the nation have the opportunity to receive education without discrimination.

"We are trying to see how Indonesian children, regardless of their economic state, regardless of their physical state, wherever they are, all have the opportunity to get an inclusive education, education without discrimination," he said.

In order to welcome the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) through the Directorate General of Vocational Education, Special Education, and Special Service Education held a Star Harmonious Festival.

Festival yang mengusung tema “Murid Berdaya, Indonesia Jaya” itu menampilkan beragam cerita dari anak-anak dengan berbagai kondisi dan latar belakang, mulai dari peserta didik Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB), Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK), Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP), hingga satuan pendidikan nonformal dan informal.

Rangkaian acara dalam Festival Kolaboratif Harmoni Bintang meliputi live mural, warung digital, pameran foto dan kriya, penampil murid, eksperimen sosial, serta kumpul media dan komunitas.

The festival, which carries the theme Murid Berdaya, Indonesia Jaya, displays various stories from children with various conditions and backgrounds, ranging from Special School (SLB) students, Vocational High School (SMK), Course and Training Institutions (LKP), to non-formal and informal education units.

The series of events at the Harmoni Bintang Collaborative Festival include live murals, digital stalls, photo and craft exhibitions, student performers, social experiments, as well as media and community gatherings.
