Here's Zulhas's Response to Amnesty and Abolition for Hasto and Tom Lembong

JAKARTA - The Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan, has spoken out regarding President Prabowo Subianto's granting of amnesty and abolition to Hasto Kristiyanto and Tom Lembong.

Zulhas emphasized that President Prabowo's granting of amnesty and abolition to Hasto Kristiyanto and Tom Lembong is in the interests of maintaining national unity.

"The President wants us to be united, because unity is important," he confirmed to reporters after leading a coordination meeting of the Red and White Cooperative at the NTB Governor's Office in Mataram on Saturday.

According to him, President Prabowo Subianto's move to grant amnesty and abolition is appropriate to maintain the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia amidst the current global uncertainty.

"Especially now, geopolitical tensions are unstable. Some ASEAN countries are at war, and India and Pakistan are also at war. Not to mention Europe, let alone the Middle East," stressed Zulhas, who also serves as Coordinating Minister for Food.

Therefore, Zulhas stated that he strongly supports President Prabowo's decision to strengthen and solidify Indonesia.

"So, unity is needed to make us strong and solid, and that's what the president is doing, inviting all parties to unite," he said.
