2 DPRD Members Return Money Allegedly Stealth Funds Pokir Hundreds Of Millions Of Rupiah

Spokesperson for the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office, Efrien Saputera, confirmed the handover of money suspected of being "stealth funds" from the distribution of principal funds (pokir) for members of the NTB DPRD on Thursday (31/7).

"Yes, that's right. Yesterday two members of the council came here (NTB Prosecutor's Office) not from the summons or requests of the prosecutor, that's their own initiative. For the amount (of money handing over), we don't know yet," said Efrien Saputera as reported by ANTARA, Friday, August 1.

The two members of the NTB DPRD who handed over the money were Ruhaiman and Marga Harun. Efrien emphasized that the handover of the money was not at the request of the prosecutor.

"This means that there must be causality or the consequences, then you can," he said.

However, with the handover of money which is suspected to be "stealth funds" worth hundreds of millions of rupiah, it further strengthens the existence of unlawful acts in the distribution of the 2025 NTB DPRD Pokir funds.

Previously, one of the two members of the NTB DPRD, Ruhaiman admitted that he handed over the money to the prosecutor during the momentum of his arrival before the prosecutor, Thursday.

Ruhaiman was present before the prosecutor's office with Marga Harun, his fellow politician from the United Development Party (PPP).

Ruhaiman was seen coming without assistance by carrying a black leather bag. Unlike Marga Harun, who appeared to be accompanied by a man.

The handling of cases in the special criminal field is based on the Investigation Order of the Head of the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office Number: PRINT-09/N.2/Fd. 1/07/2025 dated July 10, 2025.

From a series of investigations, it was observed that a number of legislative and executive members had gone to the prosecutor's office. Some attended the personal initiative as well as the prosecutor's summons.
