In The Ciliwung River From Manggarai To Sudirman, Pramono Wants Vertical Garden To Make The Edge

JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta and a number of ranks of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government have conducted river crossings in the Ciliwung River. River clearing starts from Manggarai Water Gate, South Jakarta to BNI City Station, Central Jakarta.

Using an engine rubber boat, Pramono observed the surrounding conditions along the river crossing. Pramono imagines that it would be better if the banks of the Ciliwung River that crosses the city center were planted with various types of plants.

"I saw that we tidy up the left and left, we make it greener, we make the vertical garden, we start neatly managing it," said Pramono at the BNI City Station area, Central Jakarta, Thursday, July 31.

According to Pramono, this vertical garden can close areas that cannot be arranged, so it can still be seen as more beautiful.

In addition to making vertical gardens, Pramono also wants pedestrian paths adjacent to the Ciliwung River to be arranged more neatly.

Pramono also wants to build a special crossing for bicycle lanes over rivers in strategic locations.

"The bicycle lane is not a strong one, but what is enjoyed by family," said Pramono.

"If that can be done, then so many choices for Jakarta residents to enjoy the city," he continued.

On the other hand, from this river crossing activity, Pramono wants to ensure the smooth flow of the West Flood Canal if there is heavy rain and an increase in water level. Given, the river flow crosses the city center.

"This is actually Jakarta's heart when there is a flood. One of the arrangements is in this place. Here is the Manggarai door, there is the Setiabudi door, there is also the KPK door, and so on. At that time, for example, there was rising water in Rasuna Said, the control was from here," he added.
