KPK Calls ASN Again Ministry Of Immigration And Corrections Related To The ASN Extortion Case At The Ministry Of Manpower

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has again examined two state civil servants (ASN) at the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections today. They were questioned regarding the alleged extortion of foreign workers (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker).

"The investigation was carried out at the KPK's Red and White building," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters, Thursday, July 31.

The two ASNs who take care of the visa section are Renra Hata Galih and Yuris Setiawan. Budi has not yet detailed the material studied by the two.

In addition, investigators also summoned Subandriyo as an anti-corruption lecturer at Akedemi Optometry Lepindro. "KPK has scheduled an examination of witnesses suspected of corruption in the management of the planned use of foreign workers (RPTKA) at the Ministry of Manpower," said Budi.

On a separate occasion, Budi said investigators were investigating whether or not the required residence permit or visa for foreign workers who took care of work permits in the country. He made this statement when he was asked about the examination of Angga Prasetyo Ali Saputra as an ASN of the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections on Thursday, July 30.

"KPK then examined officials from immigration to see, explored the mechanism for the flow related to the issuance of visas, related to the residence permit of a foreign worker in Indonesia," Budi told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday night.

"So as we understand, yes, when foreign workers want to work in Indonesia, of course, apart from the need for a plan to use foreign workers (RPTKA) issued by the Ministry of Manpower, they also need visas and residence permits. Well, we explore what the path is, yes, the processes," he continued.

Previously reported, the KPK has detained eight suspects suspected of extorting foreign workers' permits (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the 2019-2024 period.

Two of them were Suhartono and Haryanto who had served as Director General of Manpower Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities (Binapenta and PKK) of the Ministry of Manpower. They are suspected of having participated in the flow of extortion money from foreign workers whose value reached Rp53.7 billion.

Meanwhile, the other suspect is Wisnu Pramono as Director of PPTKA of the Ministry of Manpower; Devi Anggraeni as Coordinator of the PPTKA Feasibility Test for the period 2020-July 2024 then became Director of PPTKA for the period 2024-2025; Gatot Widiartono as Coordinator of Analysis and Control of Foreign Workers The Directorate of Control of the Use of Foreign Workers of the Ministry of Manpower; and Putri Citra Wahyoe, Jamal Shodiqin, and Alfa Eshad who are staff at the Directorate General of Binapenta and PPK.
