MATARAM - The Central Lombok Regency Government, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has started working on a project to build official housing for the Deputy Regent. The development uses funds from the 2025 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) with a contract value of IDR 2.88 billion.
Head of the Central Lombok Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office, Rahadian, said the construction had started since July 2025 and was targeted for completion within 150 calendar days according to the work contract.
"Currently, the development progress is still around 22 percent, only at the basic construction stage," he said in Praya, Antara, Thursday, July 31.
He explained that the old official residence which is currently still being used was damaged, especially leaking during the rain. Therefore, the construction of a new official house was carried out in a location that was slightly shifted back from the old building.
"The construction location is shifted to the back of the old official residence," he said.
The new official residence will be equipped with a number of facilities, such as a bedroom, living room, and a break room, as well as other supporting facilities.
This development is expected to be part of efforts to improve public services and supporting facilities for the work of the deputy regional head.
