Specialist In Empty House Thief Steals 1 Sack Of Electric Cables In Penjaringan Jakut

JAKARTA - A specialist in theft managed to break into an empty house in the Pluit Permai Raya area, Pluit Village, Penjaringan District, North Jakarta.

The perpetrator stole a number of copper cables and put them in the sacks he had prepared. In the action, the perpetrators also brought equipment in the form of crowbars and pliers.

But unfortunately, when the perpetrator was about to leave the empty house, the action was actually known by traders who were selling around the location.

The merchant then reported the incident to the Penjaringan Metro Police.

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Penjaringan Metro Police, which received the report, went straight to the TKP.

"We arrested the perpetrator and found evidence of a large sack containing electric cables and pieces of used air conditioning iron," said Head of the Penjaringan Metro Police, AKBP Agus Ady Wijaya, Thursday, July 31, 2025.

In addition, the police also confiscated evidence in the form of crowbars and cut tang. Meanwhile, the perpetrator is known to have the initials M (32) from Tanah Cereal, Bogor, West Java.

"As a result of the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had committed two thefts at the same place," he said.

Furthermore, the perpetrator with the initials M was taken to the Penjaringan Metro Police for further investigation. For his actions, the perpetrator is threatened with being charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft.
