The 2025 PWI Unity Congress Was Held At BPPTIK Komdigi Cikarang

The 2025 PWI Unity Congressional Committee officially set the location for the implementation at the Komdigi Information and Communication Technology Training and Development Center (BPPTIK), Cikarang, Bekasi Regency.

"The congress will be held on August 29 and 30, 2025," said Chairman of the OC of the 2025 PWI Unity Congress, Marthen SelAMEt Susanto, after a committee meeting at the Press Council Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 30.

Marthen said the committee had reviewed several alternative locations before deciding BPPTIK as the venue. "Today we officially set it, the congress will be held in Cikarang," he said.

He ensured that the committee was ready to hold the 2025 PWI Unity Congress in a safe, orderly and inclusive manner. "This is an important momentum. We must hold this congress as well as possible," said Marthen, who is also the chairman of the 2023 PWI Congress in Bandung.

The Deputy Chairperson of the OC, King of Parlindungan Pane, expressed similar optimism. According to him, all elements of the committee are ready to make this reconciliation agenda a success.

The 2025 PWI Unity Congress will be a historic moment: reuniting all elements within the oldest and largest journalist organization in Indonesia. Through this forum, PWI is expected to be solid again and able to play a strategic role as a professional organization as well as a democratic partner.

From the start, the committee was active in building communication and audiences with various state institutions. Among them, the Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas, the Deputy Minister of Komdigi Nezar Patria, the Head of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Maj. Gen. Kristomei Sianturi, and the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho.

The OC secretary, Tubagus Adhi, added that the committee will also have an audience with the Governor of West Java Deddy Mulyadi and the West Java Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan. We continue to complete all technical and logistical preparations," he said.
