WEST LOMBOK - Denpasar Coastal and Marine Resources Management Agency (BPSPL) official emphasized that monitoring of marine reclamation activities in the Gili Gede area, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), is under the authority of the Directorate General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP).

According to Dikor, BPSPL only issued documents on the Adjustment of Marine Spatial Utilization Activities (KKPRL) which became the basis for applicants to obtain sea space utilization permits. However, for the aspect of supervision, the responsibility lies with PSDKP.

Gili Gede has been designated as a regional conservation area, whose management is under the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) of the NTB DKP.

Regarding the reclamation activity which is currently in the spotlight, Dikor suggested that the matter be immediately reported to the Benoa PSDKP or NTB DKP BLUD for field investigation.

Spokesperson for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Supardin, confirmed that the report had been entered through the One Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) of the NTB Prosecutor's Office and was still waiting for further directions.
