JAKARTA - Anggota Komisi A DPRD DKI Jakarta Kevin Wu mendesak Pemprov DKI untuk mengaudit sistem instalasi listrik pada seluruh pasar di Jakarta buntut kebakaran Pasar Taman Puring pada Senin, 28 Juli malam.
"Kami mendorong Pemprov DKI untuk melakukan audit menyeluruh terhadap sistem instalasi listrik di seluruh pasar rakyat," kata Kevin kepada wartawan, Selasa, 29 Juli.
Selain itu, diperlukan juga adanya sertifikasi teknis instalasi listrik yang bekerja sama dengan PLN, serta pembentukan unit pengawasan teknis khusus di pasar-pasar.
Kebakaran Pasar Taman Puring, menurut Kevin, menjadi pengingat serius akan lemahnya sistem keamanan dan pengawasan infrastruktur pasar rakyat di Ibu Kota.
"Ini bukan kejadian pertama. Dalam 20 tahun terakhir, kebakaran di Pasar Taman Puring sudah terjadi tiga kali. Artinya, kita belum belajar dari kejadian sebelumnya," ungkap dia.

Kebakaran Taman Puring mulai terjadi pukul 18.00 WIB, Senin, 28 Juli. Sebanyak 34 unit mobil pemadam kebakaran dan sedikitnya 115 petugas dikerahkan untuk memadamkan api.
