Minister Of Home Affairs Vice President Prabowo Inaugurates 1,110 IPDN Jatinangor Civil Service

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian representing President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 1,110 Young Civil Service of the Institute of Domestic Administration (IPDN) at the IPDN Jatinangor Campus, Sumedang Regency, West Java, Monday, July 28.

President Prabowo is all scheduled to give directions and inaugurate 1,110 IPDN Young Civil Service, but then canceled attending one of them because he would receive the arrival of Malaysian Prime Minister (PM) Anwar Ibrahim in Jakarta on Monday afternoon.

Tito, who then acted as inspector of the ceremony, also directly conveyed President Prabowo's apology to the Young Civil Service and their families, who also attended the inauguration ceremony at the Jatinangor IPDN Campus.

"Mr President, who loves IPDN very much and wants to be present in person. I met him in person, we asked him to just inaugurate, but he wanted to give me direction. However, because of this very urgent task, with apologies and all humility, especially to parents, today the inauguration will still be held by mandated to me as Minister of Home Affairs," Tito Karnavian said in his mandate during the inauguration ceremony, confiscated by Antara.

Tito then continued that 1,110 Young Civil Service IPDNs who were sworn in today are expected to become development-propelled bureaucrats.

Of the 1,110 Young Civil Service Officers who were sworn in today, Suwandi, the son of the region from Buton, won the title of the best graduate of the XXXII IPDN Force.

Tito then mentioned Suwandi, and nine other people who were included in the top 10 graduates of the XXXII Force were people from ordinary families.

"Of the 10 best, I have met in person, are ordinary people's children, not big people's children. The first place winner, from I gave a necklace, medal, Suwandi, came from Buton, Southeast Sulawesi, it was the son of a handyman (trader, ed.) meatball. The other one, there is a farmer's son, the top 10 is there. There are also children from ASN echelon IV, and others, some open a grocery shop for their parents, "said Tito.

This means that Tito conveyed that the IPDN recruitment of the XXXII Force which was held in 2021 was successful, because the Young Civil Serviceers were accepted into IPDN because of their good ability and test results, not because they saw the status background and work of their parents.
