Meeting The Head Of The Authority, Brunei Ambassador Darussalam Discusses Investment Opportunities At IKN

JAKARTA - Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono received a visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam Achmad Ubaedillah and a group of Brunei businessmen in the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) IKN, Friday, July 25.

The group led by Ambassador Achmad Ubaedillah involved businessmen from the Indonesian Business Chamber in Brunei Darussalam and representatives of Brunei companies from various sectors, including construction, retail, textiles and tourism.

"This visit brings many Brunei entrepreneurs from various sectors, such as construction, retail, textiles to tourism. Their interest comes here and is also supported by Brunei's direct flight "Balikpapan which opens up opportunities to explore investment in IKN," said Achmad Ubaedillah as quoted from the official IKN website, Saturday, July 26.

Several names of companies were present, including Firoz Jaya; Serikandi Group of Companies; Higher Hotel; Al Afiah Hotel; Aktech United Sdn Bhd; Raimmar Sdn Bhd; JS Jaya Sdn Bhd; Nurul HR Sdn Bhd; Mohamed Jawahar Atika Arif Sdn Bhd; and Bahrin Mohammad & Associates.

Responding to the visit, Basuki Hadimuljono emphasized the commitment of the IKN Authority to provide a healthy and sustainable investment climate.

"I guarantee that investment in IKN will be very much needed in the future. We prioritize the ease of doing business and are committed to building IKN as an efficient and adaptive bureaucratic pilot area for the needs of the business world," he explained.

The visit is expected to strengthen regional cooperation and open up more investment opportunities from neighboring countries, especially Brunei Darussalam, in order to support IKN to continue to transform into an inclusive and global partnership-based city of the future.
