KPK After Confiscating Harley Davidson Sportster In The TKA Extortion Case: Money To The Ex-Menaker Special Staff

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that one of the special staff of the former Minister of Manpower (Menaker) enjoys extortion money to apply for permits for foreign workers (TKA). He is said to have bought a big motorbike that has now been confiscated by investigators.

This was conveyed by the acting (Plt) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu when he was asked about the confiscation of the Harley Davidson motorcycle of the Sportster type on Monday, July 21. This forced effort was made by the former special staff of Ida Fauziyah while serving as Minister of Manpower, Risharyudi Triwobowo.

"What we just got is that the money reaches the staff and buys a motorbike," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 24.

Asep said this finding would be followed up. Including, investigating whether there is a flow of money to other parties, including the Minister of Manpower, who has served for the 2019-2024 period or even before.

"What is the acceptance in his own name or is the acceptance, maybe, yes, maybe the person concerned is only an intermediary," he said.

"Because this is also the staff here, well, of course the intermediary is to the leadership. We are currently investigating," continued Asep.

Previously reported, the KPK officially detained eight suspects suspected of extorting foreign workers' permits (TKA) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the 2019-2024 period.

Two of them were Suhartono and Haryanto who had served as Director General of Manpower Placement and Expansion of Job Opportunities (Binapenta and PKK) of the Ministry of Manpower. They are suspected of having participated in the flow of extortion money from foreign workers whose value reached Rp53.7 billion.

Meanwhile, the other suspect is Wisnu Pramono as Director of PPTKA of the Ministry of Manpower; Devi Anggraeni as Coordinator of the PPTKA Feasibility Test for the period 2020-July 2024 then became Director of PPTKA for the period 2024-2025; Gatot Widiartono as Coordinator of Analysis and Control of Foreign Workers The Directorate of Control of the Use of Foreign Workers of the Ministry of Manpower; and Putri Citra Wahyoe, Jamal Shodiqin, and Alfa Eshad who are staff at the Directorate General of Binapenta and PPK.
