Starting From The Disclosure Of Theft, The Police Arrested Fugitives In Murder Cases In 2022

JAKARTA A motorcycle theft specialist, Kusnadi (29), managed to steal a Honda Beat unit belonging to a resident with the initials SNC (26) parked on Jalan Krendang Selatan, RT 02 RW 07, Krendang Village, Tambora District, West Jakarta.

Although the victim had locked the handlebar and added a disc lock as a double key, this did not make it difficult for the perpetrator. Kusnadi still managed to break into the motorbike alone.

The theft was carried out in the early hours of the morning, at around 02.00 WIB. The perpetrator carried a number of special tools such as the letter T key, the fake key turned on, and the iron counter. He first broke the lock of the disk with a tang, then broke into the key with the letter T key until he managed to turn on the machine and escape the victim's motorbike.

Tambora Police Chief, Kompol Kukuh Islami, said that the perpetrator then sold the stolen motorbike to Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta, for IDR 500 thousand. Not only that, Kusnadi also received a bonus in the form of narcotics type methamphetamine weighing half a gram from the dealer there.

"The perpetrator's mode of stealing motorbikes is to buy methamphetamine," said Kompol Kukuh when confirmed, Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

The victim who lost his vehicle immediately reported to the Tambora Police. The police then conducted a crime scene and investigation. Thanks to teamwork, Kusnadi's position was tracked down and he was arrested without a fight.

In developing the case, it was revealed that Kusnadi had carried out similar actions in various areas dozens of times. Even more surprising, he is also a fugitive in a murder case handled by Polda Metro Jaya since 2022.

"During the escape, the perpetrators often moved from place to place, from Lampung to return to Jakarta," added Kukuh.

For his actions, Kusnadi was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft. Further legal proceedings are now being handled by the police.
