BENGKULU - The Bengkulu City Government has confirmed that the payment of salaries for 1,411 Government Employees with the first phase of the Work Agreement (PPPK) will begin in early August 2025. These PPPKs had previously received a Decree (SK) for appointment last June.
Assistant I of the Regional Secretariat (Setda) of Bengkulu City, Eko Agusrianto, said that the proposed budget for salary payments had been submitted to the central government.
"We have submitted a budget proposal to the center. Hopefully in one or two weeks the funds will be transferred. As soon as they enter, we will immediately distribute them. The amount we propose is in accordance with the needs because the PPPK salary varies, depending on work experience, education, and other factors," said Eko when met in Bengkulu, Antara, Wednesday, July 23.
The salaries received by PPPK are different, ranging from graduates from High School (SMA) to undergraduate students (S-1). For high school graduates, the basic salary ranges from IDR 2.5 million, which can increase to IDR 3 million with additional allowances for wives and children.
Meanwhile, D-3 graduates will receive a basic salary of around Rp. 2.8 million and a total of Rp. 3.5 million. For S-1 graduates, the basic salary is around Rp. 3 million and with allowances it can increase to around Rp. 3.9 million.
The municipal government targets that all first-stage PPPKs will receive their first salary in early August, complete with allowances according to the rules.
"We hope that the PPPKs will remain patient and continue to work optimally to serve the community," said Eko.
