Visa Investors Used To Sell Kebab, 6 Pakistani Foreigners Secured

Six foreigners from Pakistan were secured by the Tangerang Non-TPI Immigration Office

JAKARTA Six foreign nationals from Pakistan were arrested by Immigration Officer Class I Special for Non-TPI Tangerang because they were found to live without legal permission and abused visas in the Kutabumi area, Tangerang Regency. They are known to have opened a kebab shop without the appropriate residence permit.

This action was carried out in Operation Wira Alert after officers received public reports regarding the existence of the Bin Khalid kebab shop, whose entire activities, from cooking to serving customers, were carried out by foreign nationals.

"From the report, we immediately carried out monitoring. It turned out that it was true that the foreigners lived not far from where they were selling," said the Daily Executive Head of the Tangerang Non-TPI Class I Immigration Office, Indra Maulana Dimyati, on Monday, July 21.

The first four people who were arrested while selling were AK, MU, MA, and NA. Officers then went to their rented house at Taman Buah 1 Housing, Kutabumi, and found two other Pakistani citizens, MFY and RB. From the results of the document examination, AK and MU were listed as holders of investor residence permits with the underwriter of the company PT Bin Khalid Traders which is located in the Sudirman area, Jakarta. However, after checking, the address turned out to be a resident's apartment and not a company office.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is said to be guaranteed by PT Zara Tekstil Group which is located at the Citra Towers Building, Central Jakarta. The location is also proven to be only a virtual office without the existence of a legal company. Foreigners admit that they do not know the company listed as a guarantor on their visas, including the amount of investment proposed to obtain a residence permit for investors.

Head of Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement, Bongbong Prakoso Napitupulu, explained that NA, MFY, and RB are holders of tourist visit visas. Although only one month in Indonesia, the three of them have company documents that are suspected of being prepared to apply for limited stay permits as investors.

The document lists NA as a capital grower at PT Moonlight Trading International, while MFY and RB are listed on behalf of PT Shariz Global Trading.

However, after the officers verified the addresses of the two companies located at Plaza Aminta, South Jakarta, no whereabouts or activities were found from the company in question.

Based on these findings, AK, MU, and MA are suspected of violating Article 123 letter a of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration, namely providing incorrect information to obtain visas or residence permits. Meanwhile, NA, MFY, and RB are suspected of violating Article 122 letter a, namely abusing residence permits by carrying out activities outside the purpose of granting permits.

Overall, Immigration will impose administrative measures in the form of deportation and deterrence in accordance with Article 75 of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration.

MU and AK are scheduled to return to their country of origin on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 12.35 WIB using Thai Airways with the final destination of Lahore, Pakistan.

Meanwhile, RB and MFY will depart on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 20.40 WIB using Batik Air Malaysia with the end of Karachi, Pakistan. For NA and MA, the return is still waiting for tickets from related parties.
