Three Victims Of Life, Including Children 8 Years Old: Chronology Behind Dedi Mulyadi's Men's Wedding Party

JAKARTA - The Garut people's party, which is part of a series of wedding celebrations for Garut Deputy Regent Luthfianisa Putri Karlina with Maula Akbar, son of West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, ended tragically.

The chronology of the incident began when the entertainment agenda and the distribution of free food were held in the Square area and the Hall of Garut Regency, Friday, July 18.

Thousands of residents from various circles have been crowding the location since morning. The situation heated up when the masses began to crowd at the main entrance to the Pendopo area. Pushes between residents was inevitable to cause chaos at the gate, even though police officers and Satpol PP were on guard.

As a result of the chaos, a number of residents fell unconscious and had to be evacuated by the authorities and the medical team on standby at the location.

Tragically, this incident claimed three lives, namely an eight-year-old child named Vania Aprilia from Sukamentri Village, Garut Kota District, Dewi Jubaeda (61), and a member of the Garut Police Brigadier Cecep Saeful Bahri (39).

The three of them were declared dead at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr. Slamet Garut.

Mela Puri, the mother of Vania Aprilia, confirmed the sad news. "Yes, my child (died)," he said when met at Dr. Slamet Garut Hospital, quoted from Antara.

Despite the incident that claimed lives, the entertainment event on the main stage of Garut Square continued with musical and song performances.

Meanwhile, the West Java Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Rudi Setiawan said that his party had studied the entire series of community party activities, including security schemes that had been prepared.

He said the activity permit had been taken by the committee according to procedures, and security had been designed to involve more than 400 joint personnel.

"Security plans have been made, 404 joint personnel have been alerted and occupying their respective posts according to directions," he explained.

Even so, the incident still occurred and caused casualties. This is the focal point of further investigation.

Furthermore, Inspector General Rudi stated that the investigation would target all relevant parties, including event organizers (EO) who were responsible for the implementation of the event. Examination is needed to ascertain whether there is an element of negligence that causes the loss of life in the party.

"Because someone died, there was an incident that caused a technical disturbance, the police will conduct an investigation to reveal whether there was an element of negligence or not," said Rudi.
