Ungubrished Demands, 50,000 Ojol Drivers And Couriers Tomorrow Surround The Presidential Palace

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Ojol Garda Indonesia Drivers Association, Raden Igun Wicaksono said, as many as 50,000 online transportation drivers will return to the road which is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Presidential Palace and a number of strategic points in Jakarta.

This action was carried out as an expression of disappointment with the government which was considered not to have taken their demands seriously even though previously a major action was held on May 20, 2025 and a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission V DPR RI.

"The victim of the applicator as the executor of Action 217 appealed to the public using ojol, online taxis, and online couriers to prepare and adjust transportation needs on Monday, July 21, 2025, because most online drivers and online couriers will strike mass," said Igun in his statement, Sunday, July 20.

Igun also regrets the attitude of the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) which is considered slow and non-responsive to the five basic demands that have been submitted.

The government actually took counter-productive steps by increasing the occupancy rate by 15 percent, without solving the basic problems that the drivers complained about.

The fifth main demand for Action 217 victims of the Aplikator, namely the state, is to present the Online Transportation Law or Perppu, demanding a 90 percent driver-generated distribution scheme and a 10 percent applicator.

The government is asked to make regulations on tariffs between goods and food. Conduct an investigative audit of applicators, the last one they ask for the removal of the aceng system, slots, hubs, multi orders,mbers, boxers, and return all drivers as drivers of regular.

"The association deeply regrets the Minister of Transportation for allowing Action 217 to occur and targets President Prabowo so that the public thinks that President Prabowo's leadership is made unconcrete in resolving online transportation problems that should have been resolved by the Minister of Transportation in May 2025," he said.

He also reminded that Action 217 is not the last. If there is no response from President Prabowo or the Minister of Transportation, further action will be carried out in various parts of Indonesia until the end of 2025.

"We, the Association together with victims of applicators and the general public who will take Action 217, will demand 5 points of prosecution against President Prabowo, as long as the Minister of Transportation and the President do not respond to our demands, then Action 217 is not the last action, August to December 2025 we will take down mass actions in waves throughout Indonesia with various online driver alliances throughout the archipelago," Igun criticized.
