Jokowi Yakin PSI Jadi Partai Besar Karena Bukan Dimiliki Elit- Keluarga

SOLO - President of the 7th Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) believes that the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) will become a big party because the party which is likened to a stake is not owned by administrators and cadres, nor is it owned by the elite, let alone the family.

In the PSI 2025 Congress which was attended by Jokowi as a speaker for the National Message session, the President for the 2014-2024 period assessed that PSI, which now has branding as the Super TBK party, will become a strong and large party in stages.

"The party's shares are owned by all administrators, by all members, by all cadres. There is no elite ownership, no family ownership let alone, all have the same shares. With this, all members should work together to raise the party," Jokowi said at the PSI 2025 Congress in Graha Saba Buana, Solo, Central Java, Saturday, July 18.

Jokowi assessed that PSI's branding as the Super TBK party made all members and cadres feel they own the party, and work together to raise the party.

The former mayor of Solo also noted that being a strong and large party cannot be rushed, but there are stages that must be passed with the hard work of all members.

He also estimated that PSI would only become a strong and large party in 2034, not 2029. Apart from being owned by all members, Jokowi assessed that PSI, which had just changed its logo to a red-and-white elephant, was a smart party.

According to him, elephants symbolize science, meaning PSI cadres are intelligent cadres. Elephants, said Jokowi, also symbolize knowledge and policy. Therefore, he fully supports PSI.

"But most importantly, the elephant is strong and large. Therefore, I will fully support PSI," said Jokowi.

Based on his experience, Jokowi gave an order for PSI to immediately complete the party structure, both at the DPW, DPD, to the village level, because the party structure is likened to a machine that must be carried out towards the 2029 political year.

"I entrust the last one, so that we work hard together so that the party structure in all regions, in all provinces, regencies and cities can be completed immediately. At least the end of 2027. If it can be completed, it means the engine is ready," said Jokowi.
