BPKP Reveals State Losses For Corruption In The Heavy Equipment Rental Of NTB PUPR Worth IDR 3.2 Billion

JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) stated that the state financial loss in the alleged corruption case of renting heavy equipment from the Provincial Road Maintenance Center (BPJP) for the Lombok Island Region of the NTB PUPR Service was worth Rp. 3.2 billion.

"So, as of today, we have received the minutes of audit results of state financial losses from BPKP NTB in a heavy equipment rental case with a value of Rp. 3.2 billion," said Head of the Mataram Police Satreskrim AKP Regi Halili in Mataram, Wednesday, July 16, quoted by Antara.

Regi explained that the loss value came from two counting items. First, from the unpaid retribution losses since the rental in 2021 with a value of IDR 2.97 billion.

"One more of the heavy equipment that was lost, it was worth Rp. 224 million, so from the calculation of the loss value of Rp. 3.2 billion," he said.

The missing heavy equipment, explained Regi, was in the form of a dump truck of two units.

In an effort to recover losses, Regi explained that his party would collect data on valuable assets belonging to the suspects.

"But, that will be after the determination. We are waiting for the official audit results after that to determine the suspect and collect asset data," said Regi.

The number of potential suspects in this case has again been conveyed. For identity, he requested that this be revealed based on the results of the title of the suspect determination case.

"The two people will later. Even if there are three (suspects), they still need further investigation," he said.

In investigating this case, the police have conducted a series of examinations of witnesses and collected documentary evidence and confiscated a heavy equipment unit in the form of excavators.

For witnesses who had undergone examination, it was the hall staff, the tenant named Efendi, the former Head of the Lombok Island Provincial Road Maintenance Center of the NTB PUPR Service, Ali Fikri, former Head of PUPR NTB Sahdan with the former treasurer.

In addition, investigators also investigated the alleged flow of rent into Ali Fikri through his wife's savings account. The search was strengthened by evidence of transfers from Efendi as the tenant.

"This is what we are exploring and prove," said Regi.

Heavy equipment excavators were confiscated from the East Lombok Regency area. Now investigators are entrusting the confiscated items at the Lombok Island Provincial Road Maintenance Office in Ampenan, Mataram City.

In the heavy equipment rental agreement, the party signed is Ali Fikri as Head of the Lombok Island Provincial Road Maintenance Center for the NTB PUPR Service with Efendi, the tenant.
