Blood Disbursing From Grandma's Head 71 Years After Being Beaten By The Wooden Robber Of Situbondo Gold

The Satreskrim of the Situbondo Police in East Java (East Java) revealed that the perpetrator of violent theft or robbery resulted in the victim's 71-year-old grandmother being hit by a blunt object.

The robbery incident allegedly carried out by a middle-aged woman with the initials S occurred on July 8 then it happened to a renta woman, Marsina (71), a resident of Trebungan Village, Mangaran District.

"Alhamdulillah, after three days, we revealed the perpetrator of the violent theft and currently detained him," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Situbondo Police, AKP Agung Hartawan, to reporters in Situbondo, East Java, Tuesday, July 15, confiscated by Antara.

According to him, the alleged perpetrator of the robbery before taking gold jewelry first hit the victim using a wooden block until the 71-year-old grandmother suffered serious injuries to the head and underwent medical treatment at a local hospital.

The woman suspected of the robbery, said Agung Hartawan, was none other than the victim's neighbor who argued that he had carried out the act because he was hurt.

"Before the perpetrator took the victim's gold jewelry weighing 10 grams, the perpetrator first hit the victim using a wooden block," he said.

In addition to arresting and detaining the suspect, Agung continued, the police also secured a number of evidences including the wood used to hit the victim, the victim's clothes and the perpetrators, as well as a note for buying jewelry.

"We have processed the crime scene, asked for the victim's post-mortem, examined witnesses, and have determined and detained the suspect. We will continue to investigate this case to find evidence that has not been found," he said.

To account for his actions, the suspect is charged with Article 365 paragraph (2) 2 and 4 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with violence or Article 351 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code concerning severe persecution, with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.
