JAKARTA - A motorcycle rider named Adi Nugroho was seriously injured when he was hit by a container truck on Jalan Daan Mogot, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Monday, July 14, 2025.

Head of the Law Enforcement Unit (Gakkum) of the West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) AKP Joko Siswanto said that the motorcycle numbered B 5862 BKR initially drove from east to west on Jalan Daan Mogot.

"Arriving near Wisma SSK in the Cengkareng area, West Jakarta, the motorist preceded the container truck numbered B 9414 AU driven by Usman which was traveling in the same direction to his left," said Joko, Monday, July 14, 2025.

It turned out that the truck was also about to overtake the victim's motorbike so that the two vehicles collided with each other.

"The motorbike fell and got under the truck, ran over by the left front wheel and the driver bounced to the right," said Joko.

As a result, motorcyclists were seriously injured, namely bruises on the hips and legs.

"The victim was immediately rushed to the Cengkareng Hospital," said Joko.

The condition of the victim's motorbike was badly damaged due to being dragged by the front tire wheel of a container truck as far as 20 meters.

As a result of the accident, the traffic flow of vehicles traveling from Cengkareng to Tangerang and the opposite direction had experienced long traffic jams.
