3 Kg Of Methamphetamine Confiscated From Luxury Apartments In Tangerang, 3 Men Arrested

The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police arrested three drug dealers of methamphetamine weighing a total of 3 kilograms. The arrests were made in two different locations in the Tangerang area.

The three suspects had the initials S (42), J (37), and R (37). They were arrested by Sub-Directorate 3 of the Metro Jaya Police's Narcotics Investigation Directorate, respectively in the mall area in BSD, Tangerang Regency, and in an apartment in Cisauk, South Tangerang.

"The arrests were made based on public reports related to suspected drug transactions around the mall lobby in BSD," said Head of Unit 2 Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of the Metro Jaya Police, Kompol Deny Simanjuntak in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, July 10.

Deny explained that his team had been monitoring since Tuesday, July 8. The next day, Wednesday, July 9 at around 14.00 WIB, the police arrested two suspects, S and J, at the suspected location.

"From the hands of the two perpetrators, we found a package of narcotics suspected of being methamphetamine," said Deny.

The results of the development of the arrest led to the third suspect, R, who is known to have stored methamphetamine at his residence.

Still on the same day, Wednesday, July 9 at around 11.30 WIB, officers visited an apartment in the Cisauk area, South Tangerang. At that location, R was arrested along with two other packages of methamphetamine, each weighing more than one kilogram.

"The total amount of evidence that was successfully secured in this case reached three kilograms of crystal methamphetamine," said Deny.

Currently, the three suspects are undergoing intensive examination at the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police. The police are still developing this case to uncover the network behind the distribution of the methamphetamine.
