Ministry Of ATR/BPN Revokes 400 SHM At Tesso Nilo Riau National Park

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR)/National Land Agency (BPN) has revoked around 400 title certificates (SHM) in the Tesso Nilo National Park (TNTN) area, Pelalawan Regency, Riau.

"Now almost 400 SHMs have been revoked, especially those that are purely overlapping with forest areas," said Minister of ATR/Head of BPN Nusron Wahid at the Attorney General's Office Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 9, which was confiscated by Antara.

Nusron said that actually the total SHM in TNTN found by his party was 1,758. Then, until now, about 400 SHMs have been successfully revoked.

In an effort to revoke SHM, he admitted that he encountered obstacles, namely that some SHMs with a tempos 1999'2006 were the result of a decision letter (SK) Reform Agrarian from the local regent, especially the Regent of Indragiri Hulu.

Therefore, the Ministry of ATR/BPN is coordinating with the local regent to evaluate and revoke the Agrarian Reform SK.

"If the SK is revoked, we will automatically revoke the SHM," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH) Brigadier General TNI Dodi Triwinarto said that most of the illegal settlements in the TNTN area are semi-permanent buildings.

These houses are not all inhabited, semi-permanent houses. However, there are also permanent ones, but not many," he said.

In addition, people who occupy the TNTN area are rough workers.

"Those in the TNTN are only garden workers, only messengers, not those who have them. Those who live have approximately double ID cards," he said.

As for now, the PKH Task Force has succeeded in 81,793 hectares of land in the TNTN area.

The land that has been controlled will be returned according to its function to become a forest.
