JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo is considering the option of building flats (rusun) for fire victims in Rawa Indah Village, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, last Friday (6/6).

"We are investigating whether the DKI Jakarta Government can then collaborate on flats, that's what we are investigating and we will decide immediately," said Pramono in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Saturday.

Pramono said that the issue of land status in affected locations needs to be explored further to clarify aspects of regional legality.

"Indeed, in Kapuk Muara, the DKI Jakarta Government is looking for a way out (but) it doesn't meet, because there is indeed a land issue there between the people who use the land and the owner," Pramono explained.

Pramono also instructed all ranks to take responsive steps, especially ensuring the basic needs of fire victims in Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta are met and emergency handling runs smoothly.

Previously, a fire hit a building that was standing on an area of three hectares or 30 thousand square meters on Jalan Empang Damai Rawa Indah, Kapuk Muara Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Friday (6/6) afternoon.

The object that caught fire was a semi-permanent stilt house with flammable material so that the fire quickly spread.

The fire scorched 450 units of semi-permanent houses or stilt houses with 750 families (KK).

There are 3,200 people consisting of 800 families affected by the fire. Thousands of affected residents were forced to evacuate in empty land near the location of the fire.

On the other hand, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Social Service has distributed aid in stages since Friday (6/6) to fire victims on Jalan Empang Damai Rawa Indah, Kapuk Muara Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

The assistance provided was in the form of 500 boxes of ready-to-eat food and personal necessities such as soap, shampoo, underwear, t-shirts, negligee, toothpaste, brushes, bras, towels, baby clothes, children's and adults, mineral water, and biscuits.
