JAKARTA - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the Fordow nuclear facility suffered "serious and severe damage" as a result of the US bombing.
"No one knows exactly what happened at Fordow. Even so, what we know so far is that the facility has been seriously and seriously damaged," Foreign Minister Araghchi said in an interview with CBS News.
"The Atomic Energy Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran is currently conducting evaluations and assessments, whose reports will be submitted to the government," he continued.
The statement comes after US President Donald Trump claimed the site that was targeted had been "destroyed" in a US attack, a statement the Pentagon later denied.
President Trump previously announced the US had carried out airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan in Operation Midnight Hammer on June 21.
When asked if Iran would be able to enrich uranium within months, Foreign Minister Araqchi said technology and enrichment science could not be destroyed through bombing.
"If there is a will from our side, and that will be there, to once again make progress in this industry, we will be able to immediately repair the damage and redeem the lost time," he explained.
"No one at this time says the facilities remain intact; it is technology and knowledge that are still there," said Foreign Minister Araghchi.

He pointed out the Land of Para Mullah had sacrificed a lot for its peaceful uranium enrichment program, adding "Iran's peaceful nuclear program has turned into a matter of national pride and glory."
"We will definitely continue to convince the international community and related countries that our nuclear program will remain truly peaceful. Currently, we have also gone through a 12-day war as an addition to everything we have done for this nuclear program," he said.
On that occasion Foreign Minister Araghchi appointed Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei who opposed nuclear weapons, saying according to the fatwa nuclear weapons were prohibited on religious grounds.
