JAKARTA - At least 935 people died in Iran during a 12-day air war with Israel, based on the latest forensic data, Iranian authorities said on Monday, according to state media.
Among the dead were 38 children and 132 women, Iranian Justice Authority spokesman Asghar Janggir said.
Earlier, Iran's Ministry of Health said the death toll from Israeli attacks reached 606, plus 5,332 injured, citing Anadolu from Tasnim.
Majengir also revised the number of people killed in an Israeli attack on the Evin Prison, Tehran, to 79, up from 71.
Israel launched airstrikes on June 13, attacking Iran's nuclear facilities and killing military commanders and civilians in the worst attacks on the Islamic Republic since the 1980s war with Iraq.
Iran retaliated by a series of missiles to Israeli military sites, infrastructure, and cities. The United States entered the war on June 22 by carrying out attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said "Israel's aggression has led to many war crimes".
He said Iran would hand over evidence to international organizations he said would hold Israel accountable.

"The actions of the Zionist regime (Israel) were carried out without reason or justification, therefore we do not believe in separating (victims) from the military and civilians," Baqaei told reporters at a regular press conference.
He emphasized that any "victims who died or buildings destroyed were examples of war crimes."
