PCO: MBG Has Reached 5.5 Million Beneficiaries

JAKARTA - The Presidential Communication Office (PCO) reports that the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) has now reached more than 5.5 million beneficiaries through 1,800 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) throughout Indonesia.

The statement was made by the Deputy for Dissemination and Information Media of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO)Noudhy Valdryno.

"As of Sunday, June 29, 2025, there have been more than 1,800 SPPG points which reach more than 5.5 million beneficiaries," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 30.

According to Noudhy Valdryno, the MBG Program is not just providing food in schools, but is also an important social infrastructure that touches many aspects of life, ranging from children's health, quality of education, to driving the economy of local communities.

"We know that the future of the nation starts from the dining table of every Indonesian family. The state wants to make sure it is there," he said.

He said that initial data showed a positive impact on this program, including an increase in the nutritional status of beneficiaries.

Interestingly, he said, this program will continue even though during the school holidays it is blessed with a distribution scheme that has been prepared by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

Although it is acknowledged that there are still many challenges in implementing in the field considering the national scale of this program, he continued, the government ensures that evaluations will continue and a quick response will be given to every obstacle that arises.

The government invites the public and the media to continue to oversee and provide constructive input on the success of this national strategic program.

"The government continues to evaluate and is committed to responding quickly and seriously. Because this program concerns the future of our generation," said Noudhy Valdryno.
