MAKI Appreciates The Spirit Of The Police To Eradicate Corruption On Bhayangkara Day 79 Through Kortas Corruption

MAKI Coordinator Boyamin Saiman said the formation of Kortas Corruption reflects the real action of the Bhayangkara Corps in eradicating corruption. This is because the unit was previously named the Directorate of Corruption Crimes and was under the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.

"That his enthusiasm is to form a Corruption Eradication Corps whose level has been raised from the first led by Bintang 1 now Bintang 2. (This means that there is a spirit of eradication," Boyamin told reporters, Friday, June 27.

Boyamin said that corruption is actually not the main task and function of the National Police. However, he still gave his appreciation because there was attention to efforts to eradicate corruption in the country.

Bahkan, Boyamin menilai capaian kasus korupsi yang diungkap Kortas Tipikor Polri mendekati level Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK).

"Actually, in recent years the Kortas Corruption Police have begun to approach the KPK because the KPK has decreased. But the police mean that the corruption eradication issues are good," he said.

In the future, Boyamin hopes that this spirit of eradicating corruption can be transmitted to all levels of the National Police as material for improvement. Moreover, July 1 will be commemorated as the 79th Bhayangkara Day.

"This is the task and challenge for Kortas Corruption to make justice come anywhere, anytime, and have no color," concluded Boyamin.
