This Woman Kills Her Husband With Potas Poison, Hurts To Become A Victim Of Domestic Violence

JOMBANG - Jombang Resort Police, East Java, revealed a case of alleged murder with a wife to her husband.

Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jombang Police, AKP Margono Suhendra, said the case involved a woman with the initials FP (47), a resident of Carangrejo Village, Kesamben District, Jombang Regency. The case began when FP admitted to killing her husband, LK (45).

"The initial chronology of the reported party was consciously present at the Jombang Police Station, reporting what he had done to the victim LH, the reported siri husband. He reported that he had killed her husband at a rented house in Mojoagung," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 26.

The reported party admitted to poisoning her husband with potassium. Starting on May 14, 2025, before committing the murder, the reported bought rat poison and seven potas.

During the purchase on May 11, 2025 and on May 13, 2025, he loaded a potass into a drinking water bottle, which is often used for drinking in the morning.

"At that time, seven potas were purchased, put four pills into a water bottle. After that, the bottles were shaken to dissolve (the spots) and the rest (potas remains) were thrown into the yard," he said.

The bottle containing drinking water was drunk by the victim and after that it experienced a poisoning reaction. The reported then contacted an employee who was also a witness who asked to help him move the victim from the kitchen room to the room.

The victim was placed in the first room. At that time, the victim also received physical abuse by being hit with a block of his head and his body was stabbed. Until finally the victim died.

After that, the victim's body was covered with blankets, mattresses and pillows in the hope that the smell of the corpse would not be smelled by the neighbors.

"The reported party bought rat poison to catch rats around the house to cover the smell of carrion so that if a neighbor asked if it was the smell of rat carcasses," he said.

The reported one week after the murder incident is still sleeping in a rented house located in Karangtengah Hamlet, Johowinong Village, Mojoagung District, Jombang.

However, because he couldn't stand the unpleasant smell that came out of the body, he was finally reported to have left the rented house and lived with his brother in Kesamben, Jombang.

"During his stay at his family's house, the reported often came to the rented house to see the situation. The reported party sold the furniture on May 17, so that when we processed the TKP (the crime scene) there was no (botage) only the remains of the rotting body. So, it's been 42 days," he said.

In this case, the police have confiscated a number of evidences, namely a knife used to stab the victim and a beam to hit the victim, resulting in bruises on the head and face due to blunt objects.

Regarding the motive, she said it was due to an argument. The reported party admitted that he often became a victim of violence from her husband, so he felt hurt.

The perpetrator was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding premeditated murder with the threat of life imprisonment.
