KPK Opens New Investigation Of Alleged Gratification Related To Procurement At MPR

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed the existence of a new investigation into allegations of gratification within the MPR. There has been an investigation warrant (sprindik) issued.

"That's right, there is a new investigation," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when contacted by VOI, Friday night, June 20.

Even so, Budi still closed the meeting about the investigation. Everything will be conveyed after investigators have complete evidence.

Meanwhile, a VOI source said that there were already suspects in this case. "The assumption is that there is receipt of gratuities related to procurement within the MPR RI," said the source.

As for today, the KPK is still investigating allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. Allegedly filling the living room until the bedroom is rigged.

A number of suspects have been named, one of which is the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar. However, the KPK has not made any arrests to date.

The KPK spokesman at that time, Tessa Mahardhika, said the detention of Indra and the suspects was still waiting for the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to calculate state losses. Certainties are needed to make forced efforts.

"We respect the BPKP auditor who is currently calculating, he hopes that it will be completed soon and this case can be immediately transferred to the public prosecutor," Tessa told reporters quoted on Friday, March 14.
