Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz, said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had instructed the Israeli military to step up attacks on strategic targets in Iran.

The order was in response to Iran's attacks with its latest ballistic missile wave to a number of Israeli cities on Thursday.

"The Iran's coward dictator hid deep in his fortified bunker and launched intentional attacks on a number of hospitals and residential buildings in Israel," Katz said in a statement shared by the Ministry of Defense, referring to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. , June 19.

"This is the most serious form of war crime and Khamenei will be held accountable for his crimes," Katz continued.

"The Prime Minister and I have instructed the IDF to step up attacks on strategic targets in Iran and against government locations in Tehran, to eliminate threats facing the State of Israel and destabilize the Ayatollah regime," he said.

Reportedly Iranian missiles hit and caused severe damage at the Soroka Medical Center, a major hospital in the southern Israeli city of Be'er Sheva.

Israel's emergency response service, Magen David Adom (MDA) said a 60-year-old woman was injured in the attack.

"We are currently assessing the damage, including (victims) injuries," said a Soroka spokesman.
