Therefore, according to him, the steps taken by the police in eradicating thuggery in North Sumatra and Medan are expected to bring positive changes to the community.
"Cooperation between the community and law enforcement officials is very important to create a safe and comfortable environment for all," he said.
Previously, the North Sumatra Regional Police took action against 1,389 people suspected of thuggery during the implementation of Operation Pekat Toba from 1-21 May 2025.
Of the thousands of cases of thuggery, 155 cases with 203 suspects were raised to the investigation stage, while 998 cases with 1,186 perpetrators were trained and a statement was made so that they would not repeat their actions
