Starting Now, Bogor Students Take Saturday-Sunday Holidays! Here Are The New Rules

BOGOR Bogor Regent, Rudy Susmanto, announced a new policy in the education sector which will soon be implemented in the Bogor Regency area. One of the main policies is the determination of Saturdays and Sundays as a full holiday for school students, with teaching and learning activities only taking place from Monday to Friday.

"We have conveyed an official appeal to all levels of government and the Bogor Regency Education Office. God willing, an official circular will be issued soon. The goal is to provide sufficient rest rooms for students and educators," said Regent Rudy on Tuesday, June 3.

Rudy explained that this policy aims to improve the quality of education as well as create a balance of life for students. With more structured rest time, students are expected to be more focused, physically and mentally healthy, and ready to take part in learning on school effective days.

In addition to the reform of learning day, the Bogor Regency Government has also begun to apply special curfew rules for uniformed students. Students who are still wearing school uniforms are not allowed to be in public spaces after 21.00 WIB.

"We prioritize this step to maintain the security and order of the younger generation, especially those who are still in school. This is a form of attention, not restrictions," said Rudy.

He added that all of these policies will continue to be studied and evaluated periodically with various stakeholders, including the school, parents, and community leaders. The goal is that the policies implemented really provide benefits and can be well received by the community.
