DPRD Asks DKI Transportation Agency To Evaluate Transjabodetabek Blok M-PIK Route 2, This Is The Reason

Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wibi Andrino, asked the DKI Provincial Government, especially the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, to evaluate the use of the Transjabodetabek route Blok M-PIK 2 which was inaugurated a few days ago.

This is because Wibi views that the majority of residents who are mobility towards Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), known as elite and commercial housing areas, are users of private vehicles.

"So if the goal is to reduce congestion or encourage the rich to move to public transportation, there must be a serious evaluation of passenger occupancy and effectiveness," Wibi told reporters, Monday, June 2.

The DKI Transportation Agency, according to Wibi, needs to evaluate routinely in terms of how many users of the Transjabodetabek route to PIK 2, how efficient the route is, and how efficient the intermodal connection is after reaching Blok M.

Do not let the operation of Transjabodetabek Blok M-PIK 2 be carried out to limit the ceremonial public transportation services from Jakarta to buffer areas, but the public does not benefit.

"If the route is quiet, it is better to transfer it to other areas that are more needed and have great potential to reduce private vehicles," explained Wibi.

"But if it turns out to be starting to grow and there is continued education to the PIK community, it could be a turning point to encourage a more environmentally friendly lifestyle," he continued.

On Thursday, May 22, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung inaugurated Transjabodetabek with the route Blok M 'Pantaindah Kapuk (PIK) 2 at the PIK 2 Bus Stop, Tangerang, Banten.

On the newly operating Transjabodetabek Blok M-PIK 2 route, the DKI Provincial Government has prepared 20 units of fleets that have a T31 bus code.

This service route connects Jakarta' Banten with a track length of 72.8 kilometers and passes 24 stop points, namely 11 points in Jakarta and 13 points in Banten. The travel time during peak hours is 180 minutes away (PP), and at noon 165 minutes PP.

"I believe this service will be the prima donna because the mobilization in and out of PIK 2 and PIK 1 is very high. Therefore, the Jakarta Government together with the Banten Government have opened this route," said Pramono.

Meanwhile, Transjabodetabek S61 (Blok MAlam Sutera) service, which has officially operated since April 24, 2025, has recorded the highest daily passenger number of 4,500 people.

The Transjabodetabek B41 (CawangVida Bekasi) which was launched on May 15, 2025, recorded the highest daily passenger number of 1,510 people.
