Busy Selling PPP, Romi Asked Taubat Nasuha

JAKARTA - PPP cadres turned out to be getting hot with Muhammad Romahurmuziy or Romi's maneuvers ahead of the PPP Congress. "Just because of Jokowi's pressure at that time and the lure of "logistics" alone, Romi easily pawned PPP as an Islamic party that was forced to elect a non-Muslim leader," said Wahyudin.

He and several DKI PPP cadres tried to fight Romi's decision by choosing a Muslim leader. "Our conscience as cadres of Islamic parties and stubbornly does not want to obey Romi's wishes. PPP will definitely be hostile to Muslims for fighting the aspirations of the people," continued Wahyudin.

"And the fact is that from 2017 to the 2024 election yesterday PPP was still punished by the people. The seats in the DKI DPRD remained 1 seat and the DPR RI had 0 seats. Even nationally PPP did not penetrate Senayan" regretted Wahyudin.

Then before the 2019 election when PPP Jakarta cadres were busy struggling to return PPP votes, news suddenly emerged that Romi, who was then the General Chair of PPP, was suddenly arrested by the KPK for accepting a bribe of 60 million rupiah to buy and sell positions.

"The lightning department in broad daylight, the world of cash feels dark. Our struggle for months to defend 10 DPRD seats and 3 seats in the DPR RI in Jakarta immediately collapsed immediately," Wahyudin recalled. "After our vote in 2019. The DPRD seats were lost 9 seats and only 1 seat remained, while the DPR RI was completely destroyed and the seats were completely destroyed," explained Wahyudin.

"Romi does not have the moral capacity to be a reference related to PPP. Let the muktamirins themselves determine the future of PPP at the congress tomorrow. Because we want to work to restore the glory of PPP, not to be used as merchandise by Romi and his crews," concluded Wahyudin.
